Opinion: The demonstration of Ooni of Ife as “Omoluabi’ – –calling Jesus his father and Akiolu Saga..

This is in response to Omo Oba who posted to my timeline as follows:-Where lies the Omoluabi of Ooni that constantly defying the throne of Oduduwa for the sake of modernity–calling Jesus his father and Akiolu that treated Ooni with contempt. They are both guilty of contempt and not honoring their Ancestors?
My opinion
This man, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi, Arole Oodua, Ooni of Ife should be praised for his humility, composure and discipline at the provocative gestures of His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu, Oba of Lagos. Do you think every Oba of Yoruba land would have behaved the same way the Ooni of Ife did? To me, he passed the text of ” Omoluabi”
Now, Omo Oba, I don’t know how else the Ooni of Ife can prove that he supports our cultural heritage with his various activities even if had said what you wrote. I regard this pardonable due to his upbringing. We cannot stop these Obas going to Church or Mosque. They are Obas of all Religious denominations.
I regard his utterances forgivable with his recent statement when he paid homage to Olokun at the beach recently.
He said, “We are tagged as idol worshippers but the truth be told we are not idol worshippers but true SPIRITUALISTS, for our tradition gives Glory, Adoration and Honour to Almighty God whom we know as OLODUMARE”.
To still prove that he is “Omoluabi”, he said after the incident, “I shall continue to respect Oba of Lagos”.
I sincerely hope that this matter between these two great Obas are resolved amicably for the respectability of our cherished Traditions.
