On what he would do if he order birds not to eat the children of cotton anymore that will agree with him, and he was advised to offer sacrifice and he complied, then orisa nla called the association of birds to a meeting and he lifted banned on them that they should never eat the children of cotton anymore and whoever contravene to his order will see the bad result of it, and all birds went away with sadness and angriness because they don’t have alternative food to eat, but it was aro bird that first disobey the authority of orisa nla and he went to eat the children of cotton one day and he found himself developing sickness with his colleague that ate cotton too this made them to be very angry and there was a river called OMITOKI the river of birds in which orisa nla use fetched to do his work, those birds lifted banned too on it that none of orisa nla habitants should fetch the water anymore because they are the owner of it and they took àrò and òtútù birds to guide it and they told them that whenever they see anybody from orisa nla side they should blow an alarm to them, one day orisa nla sent one of his son to go and fetch water and when he entered the water all over his body turned to white and those two birds blown alarm to their members and they came down to the river, when orisa nla saw his son he was very furious and embarrassed that birds could also misbehave to him and he planned to wage war against the birds, he went to these priests;

When sango came out to see what pursued orisa nla to his house he saw multitude of birds shouting angrily and sango also ran through backyard door with orisa nla, they ran to Ogun lakaye’s house also those birds still pursuing them, when Ogun lakaye heard the sound voice of the birds singing that;
When we see ogunbiyi we will kill him
When we see ogundele we will kill him
Ogun lakaye ran out with other deities to yemoja, osun, esu, and other deities but the war of birds didn’t get back from them, then all the deities started running to Orunmila’s house, and Orunmila has heard that birds have started wagging against deities and he called the priests;

Aayun ko yun ese maalu cast divined for Orunmila on how he would conquer the war of birds and he was advised to offer sacrifice, plenty of white cake beans and sixteen àtè(ifa medicine gum) and he complied, when all the deities reached orunmila’s house, Orunmila accommodated them and also the war of birds arrived too and they entered inside but when they we land they landed over the sacrifice that was prepared by Orunmila and the ifa medicinal gum cover them up in the whole body, they couldn’t have any power to do anything and Orunmila collected the cutlass from the hand of orisa he started killing them, when they remained small they started begging Orunmila not to kill them anymore and he should give them authority on what he wish, and Orunmila stopped to kill them and he told them that their water became orisa nla’s own but they can drink out of it whenever they wish and they should never step to eat the children of cotton and they all agreed, then Orunmila released them and they flew away to difference places in the world, this is how Orunmila saved all deities from the war of birds(witches) and they all started dancing and rejoicing praising priest the priests were praising ifa while ifa was praising God.
Orisa is the owner of the cutlass I hold, cotton became mature and old, a cotton became mature in the presence of birds in the farm.
My people, I pray this morning that any war of earthly people won’t overcome us, no witches will be able to eat our children, none of our children will die suddenly and today we have become a seed of cotton no witches we have power over us amen.
