ABAYOMI GABRIEL OLONISHAKIN (DEFENCE) 

The new head of defence staff, a noteworthy general from Ekiti state, was until his arrangement the leader of the Nigerian Army Training and Doctrine Command in Minna, Niger state. He bested his class at the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA). He is the most senior general in the military with the retirement of the previous administration boss. He is only the third south-westerner to be Nigeria’s No. 1 military officer, after Alani Akinrinade (1980-81) and Seyi Petinrin
(2010-2012).
