Court of Appeal dismisses Saraki’s appeal challenging his trial by the Code of Conduct Tribunal

The Abuja division of the court of Appeal has dismissed the appeal by senate president, Bukola Saraki trial his trial by the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The appeal court dismissed each all the 5 issues brought by Saraki in the appeal. Two of the three panel of judges decided that his appeal lacks merit. This implies the Code of Conduct will in any case proceed with Saraki’s trial.

Saraki is being tried on a 13 count charge of false asset declaration when he was Kwara state governor. He is expected to show up before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on November fifth.
