Yayi to stay On As Senator, Court Dismisses Aeroland’s Suit

An election tribunal sitting in Ikeja, Lagos has dismissed the suit documented Segun Adewale famously known as Aeroland against Senator Solomon Olamilekan prominently known as Yayi.

The Ikeja Magistrates’ Court venue of the Lagos National Assembly Election Tribunal where the judgment in the petition challenging Adeola’s election was delivered.

Adewale is challenging the assertion of Adeola by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as victor of the April 28 Lagos-West Senatorial race.

He had in his request begged the tribunal to invalidate the statement of Senator Adeola as victor of the election.

Subsequent to listening to contentions from all parties in the request, the three-man tribunal headed by Justice Sylvanus Oriji, rejected the suit by Adewale.
