🇮🇷🇪🇺 Iran Declares EU Naval and Air Forces Terrorist After Brussels Labels IRGC a Terrorist Entity

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in response to the illegal and unjustified decision of the member states of the European Union dated 30 Bahman 1404 (19 February 2026), declares the following:

Given that the member states of the European Union, in violation of the fundamental principles and rules of the United Nations Charter and international law, have designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) — which is recognized as one of the official pillars of the country’s armed forces — as a terrorist entity, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on the principle of reciprocity and pursuant to Article 7 of the “Law on Reciprocal Action Against the Designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a Terrorist Organization by the United States” adopted in 2019 (1398), which stipulates that all countries that in any manner follow or support the decision of the United States of America to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization shall be subject to reciprocal measures, considers the naval and air forces of all member states of the European Union to be subject to the aforementioned law and its provisions, including Article 4.

Accordingly, within the framework of reciprocal action, it recognizes and declares them as terrorist organizations.
