A large number of Lagos occupants met on the Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, on Saturday to get Christmas blessings from the Bola Tinubu Foundation, a non-profit organisation possessed by a previous Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The blessings contained packs of rice, salt, vegetable oil, T-shirts and money.
As indicated by reports, the occasion was not without hitches as policemen and other security operators attempted to push back the massive crowd that turned up from every local government zone in the state. Blockades were broken as recipients caused a caused .
As the crowd got to be wild, policemen fired teargas into the crowd yet they stayed unyielding and stood their ground.
A Special Adviser to the ex-governor, Mr. Femi Oyatolu, said in excess of 2,000 sacks of rice had been shared starting 12pm on Saturday. Oyatolu, then again, contended that the activity was not politically-motivated as nobody was made to show proof of participation of any political gathering.
