Three Secondary School Students arraigned For Beating Up Teacher In Osogbo Osun State

3 Secondary school students have been charged in the witness of the Osogbo Magistrates’ Court for professedly thumping their teacher. The blamed persons are Haruna Waliu (19), Adebayo Abeeb (19) and Oladimeji Tunde (21).

They were affirmed to have conferred the offense on October 24, 2014, at St. Mark’s Anglican Grammar School in Kolabalogun Area, Osogbo. As indicated by the charge sheet, the implied wrongdoing was as opposed to and punishable under Section 517 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

The denounced persons were additionally said to have attacked one Osho Bamidele Samuel by thrashing him almost to death. The indictment further claimed that the blamed persons brought about a breach of peace by additionally stoning their educators in the school premises. The police prosecutor, Inspector Isiaka Ajadi, told the court that the affirmed unlawful acts were contrary to and punishable under Sections 351 and 249 (d) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge of conspiracy, strike and break of open peace leveled against them by the police. Then again, guidance to the accused persons, Mr. W. A. Idowu, urged the court to give the students bail, guaranteeing that they would not jump bail, if allowed. The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Muhammed Lasisi, allowed each of the blamed bail in the aggregate for N50,000 with two sureties , encouraging parent to watch their kids. The case was adjourned till February 9, 2015, for hearing.
