40 Years Old Man displays maddness After Beating Wife To Coma

A-forty -year old man has stripped himself naked and feigned insanity after beating his wife to a state of coma at Ada-Irri community, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.  It was learned that the man, a tipper driver who was renowned for his wife battering activities had been having series of squabbles with his wife.

Sources said the husband, after an argument, hit the wife, a mother of two children with a pestle on her shoulder, saying the woman immediately fell unconscious. An eye witness said the man, on noticing that his wife was lying motionless, thought he had killed her and immediately stripped naked, feigning mental disorder.

The eyewitness who craved anonymity, said the sympathizers who thronged the scene to rescue the woman were taken aback by the actions of the husband, who he said escaped from the town in the midst of the commotion  He said the man may have feigned insanity ostensibly to avert punishment, saying the woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she is receiving medical attention.
