Actress Ibinabo Fiberesima to spend years in prison after bail application denied

It would appear that the performing artist and mother of three will truly spendyears in jail over a deadly accident in 2005 that took a man’s life. Her bail application endured a difficulty yesterday Thursday March seventeenth at the court of Appeal in Lagos after the judges decided that her application was incompetent.

The three man-board drove by Justice U.I Ndukwe-Anyanwu, said that the application was not appropriately filed as her counsel neglected to append duplicates of the judgment that was conveyed by the court which asserted the five years jail sentence imposed on her.

The court adjourned hearing for her bail application to April seventh when duplicates of the March 11th‎ judgment would have been included. She was then sent back to jail.  Ibinabo has approached the Supreme Court to set aside the March eleventh decision of the Lagos State Court of Appeal which validated the 5 year jail term passed on to her by the state’s High court over the 2005 mischance in which her auto executed one Dr Giwa.
