Senator Rochas Okorocha of Imo State yesterday said 99 percent of worker in the state are not computer lieterate.
Okorocha, amid aninteraction with columnists, added that a large number of the specialists are redundant. He censured a circumstance where an office implied for one or two persons would be jam packed with around six-eight workers who are not doing anything.
The governor expressed the commitment of his administration to automate government services and teach specialists on the best way to handle PCs.
On workers salaries, Okorocha said government was not owing, adding that the only people they are ‘‘having issues’’ with are the health workers and some parastatals. He said:”It is not true that Imo State government is owning workers”.
