Aláàfin Ọ̀yọ́ Has Been Crowned With Ade Ṣàngó

KABIYESI IKU BABA YEYE ALAAFIN ỌBA ABIMBỌLA OWOADE COMPLETED TRADITIONAL RITES AND EARNED HIS RESPECT
IFÁ chose our ALAAFIN for us and now you can see he is following the tradition of his ancestors.

If you do not know how powerful Alaafin is, check the crown on his head. This crown is believed to be very powerful.

Ade Ṣàngó.
This powerful crown must be given to Alaafin by Baba Mọ́gbà Sàngó who would place it on his head after completing the orò and then he would become powerful to use the Àṣẹ.

KÒSO is a town in Ọ̀YỌ́ where ALAAFIN must be crowned with the ADE ṢANGO which BABA MỌGBÀ SÀNGÓ must placed on the head of the new ALÁÀFIN Ọ̀YỌ́ in KÒSO. He would prostrate to greet him as KABIYESI after he had placed the crown on him. This is to confirm that OBA has no Authourity if the kingmaker and the people do not crown him. He becomes powerful after being crowned.

EYÍN ERIN is the Tusk of Elephant used as trumpet before Kakaki came into Ọ̀YỌ́ and it must be blown by the family for ALAAFIN before coronation starts and should be blown whe. ALAAFIN is going for special occasions. This Tusk trumpet is blown when thunder strikes to calm things down in Ọ̀YỌ́ too in the ancient period till the present.

The Tusk Trumpet called EYÍN ERIN is very powerful. The Baba in charge said; they do not venerate it or do any rituals but the power is in the sound.

KÀKÀKÍ ỌBA is also used and it is blown for ALAAFIN just like other traditional drums are beaten for ALAAFIN in OYO. It is a sign of ROYALTY to have all the traditional musical instruments playing for ALAAFIN but most importantly, the traditional instruments are unique to the Royal Kingdom.

ALAAFIN ỌYỌ KINGDOM started with Ọ̀RÀNMÌYÀN the son of ÒGÚN and Royal son of ODÙDUWÀ ATẸ̀NWỌ̀NRỌ̀ who built the Land on the surface of earth called ILẸ̀ IFẸ̀. ODUDUWA descendants had ruled for many years as OLOFIN Until the time of ỌLỌỌ̀NIRÌṢÀ ÒDÌDÍÌWÀ LÉRÉỌLÁ ÀRÓLÉ ODÙDUWÀ OLOFIN AIYE who raised ORANMIYAN in his palace.

ORANMIYAN ODEDE OMOLUWABI is from ILÉ IFẸ̀ and Ruled as OONI in IFẸ̀ Kingdom too as a KING and a warrior who overcame the enemies of ILÉ IFẸ̀ with his wife ỌMỌ́RÈMÌ who is popularly known as MỌ́REMÍ.ORANMIYAN had a wife from Nupe/Tapa Kingdom called TOROSI. ÀJÀKÁ DÀDA and TẸ̀LÀÒKÒ ṢÀNGÓ were the sons of ORANMIYAN who ruled after he left OYO to protect his home town ILÉ IFẸ̀ from the rebels and gave his son AJAKA the OyO kingdom to rule.

DÀDA ÀJÀKÁ ruled before TẸ̀LÀÒKÒ ṢÀNGÓ his younger brother took over from him because ṢANGO was more active and responsive to battles, unlike AJAKA who was diplomatic. OYO people installed TELAOKO SANGO who was called AFONJA too as ALAAFIN but when his rule was too fierce, the king-makers asked him to step down and he left Ọ̀YỌ́ for KÒSO where he ruled as a KING before he joined his ancestors whilst his elder brother DADA AJAKA was re-installed as ALAAFIN. This is the reason why ALL ALAAFIN must come to Koso if they want to be crowned with ADE SANGO ALAAFIN grew in OYO KINGDOM and became great to lead battles for us all in the whole of ILẸ̀ IFẸ̀.

ỌYỌ became great and never for once attacked our home town ILÉ IFẸ̀. ỌYỌ went through many obstacles due to wars and battles but ỌYỌ came back strong together. ỌYỌ people came to ILE IFE region after the Nupe/Tapa attacked which moved ỌYỌ to ÌGBÒHO and Fulani attacked the old ỌYỌ after it was rebuilt which led to the creation of MODÁKẸ́KẸ́. MODAKEKE PEOPLE are people from OYO and ILE IFE welcomes them and then gives them Land to settle down where they are till today. We have more historical facts to share but we should be happy with this brief one and unite together as one with our new ALAAFIN.

Congratulations to us all as ỌMỌ ODUDUWA ATENWONRO IRUNMOLE AND ỌMỌ OGUN. ỌDÚN ỌLỌ́JỌ́ was created to celebrate together as AROLE ODUDUWA ODIDIIWA OLOFIN, OGUN, and ORANMIYAN protected the KINGDOM of ILÉ IFẸ̀ from invaders who wanted to destroy the Land.

KABIYESI OOOO IKU BABA YEYE ỌBA ALAṢẸ. Ẹ JẸ KÁ KÍ BABA WA KI A KI ARAWA PELU KU ORIIRE.
Our history, culture, and tradition is very unique.
Let us celebrate together and share this educative information with everyone to be well-informed about our History.
