This is how the people in power see soldiers. They see civilians as gullible, easily manipulated fools who can be used as pawns to support any money making, power grabbing scheme as long as our rulers tell us it’s for our own good and waive a flag.

If you want to see a true hero, Smedly Butler fits the bill. At one point he was the most decorated Marine in history and won not one but two Medals of Honor.

He then spent his life protesting war and calling it out as the racket that it is.

Chris Kyle was sadly not fighting to “protect our freedoms” he was a cog in a wheel used to make rich people richer. The reason for all the propaganda surrounding this — the US backed film, the recruitment efforts, the media show…. is all about money. The fat cats making billions on the lives of American troops can only do so when people believe that they are “defending our freedoms” …they are not.

Those who protest the wars, had they succeeded in stopping the needless invasion, would have saved many lives.

The multi billion dollar defense industry used to have to wait around for the windfall of war….now they have developed the concept of never-ending war on the emotion of “terror” … a war that never ends and which keeps reviving itself by creating more enemies.
