The Ifa Festival is only one month away! We’re happy to announce the kick off event, which is a reception for ARABA IFAYEMI ELEBUIBON, organized by Dr. Wade Nobles. Check out the details at www.ifafestival.com.
Araba Ifayemi was born in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. He comes from a family acclaimed to be one of the authorities on Yoruba Traditional Institutions, A direct descendant of Olutimehin, one of Co-founder of the City of Osogbo. He began his priesthood training at age four.
The reception will include traditional ORIKI of OSOGBO KINGDOM, recited by Fatai Ibikunle of Aji-Tos Center for Art & Culture. In addition, the event will be swinging with melodic tunes provided Kola Adesokan and his Juju fusion band. Learn more about the artists and event: www.ifafestival.com
The highlight of the reception will be words of wisdom shared by Araba Ifayemi, who has not been in the Bay Area in over a decade! For those who have known the Araba for yeas, as well as those who will be meeting him for the first time, we anticipate a very special experience.
