KING CHARLES:
The light is awful! Ha! who comes here? Are my eyes seeing double? What is this strange object in our bedroom? Camilla, do you see what I see? Are you for real? Speak, you apparition, trying to scare a new monarch!
EGUNGUN:
Ayam Egungun, the Ancestral Spirit of those your ancestors named Southwest Nigerians.
KING CHARLES:
Art thou some god, some angel, or some devil?
EGUNGUN:
Ayam Ará Ọ̀run. I come from the Other World, The Source.
KING CHARLES:
Why comest thou?
EGUNGUN:
To inform you that my people are not pleased with the deeds of your ancestors on our ancestral land.
KING CHARLES:
Well; I wasn’t born then. How did you get in here? There are hundreds of security guards watching this palace! How did you get through?
EGUNGUN:
I used a technology called Àfẹ́ẹ̀rí.
KING CHARLES:
What is Àfẹ́ẹ̀rí? Who taught you that technology?
EGUNGUN:
That is not important right now. I have some questions for you from my people.
KING CHARLES:
Speak to me what thou wishes.
