Fulani herdsmen butcher colleague over cattle

Abdulahi Anaruwa and Mohammed Suleiman were arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing another herdsman, whose cattle they were trying to steal, at Itadodo area of Ofada in Obafemi-Owode LGA Area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement, disclosed that the two men met the deceased, Garuba Mohammed, while he was grazing his cattle with two of his kinsmen, and lured him into a nearby bush, where they killed him with machetes, on October 28.

Oyeyemi said luck, however, ran against them when a motorcyclist saw them and alerted the people of the area, who in turn called the police.
