An aircraft having a place with the Nigerian Air Force has crashed in Yola, the capital of Adamawa in North-East Nigeria. All team individuals and passengers on the plane kicked the bucket in the mishap, authorities said. The personalities of those on board were however yet to be unveiled.
The representative for the Force, Dele Alonge, said in an announcement late Saturday night that the aircraft crashed at around 4:23PM Nigerian time because of awful weather. Mr. Alonge, an Air Commodore, said the F7-Ni fighter jet, with enrollment number, NAF801, was coming back to base from a interdicted mission when it smashed around Hong, in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State
“There was no survival as the pilot of the aircraft lost his life in the unfortunate incident,” Mr. Alonge said.
He emphasised that the crash was due to bad weather and that the aircraft was never under enemy fire.
The statement added that the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal S.B .Abubakar had “set up an investigation panel to unravel the remote and immediate causes of the accident.”
