The first country over the past 60 years to sabotage the idea of Nigeria having an Ajaokuta Steel Industry was Britain under the royal queen of England in 1958 (Elizabeth II).
In the year 1958, Colonial Nigeria was under the rule of the British Empire from the mid-nineteenth century until 1960. Two years before independence, Nigeria conceptualised the steel industry. Foreign consultants under British rule advised that it was better to import steel than to construct and run a steel plant.
During this period, Nigeria consulted foreign countries particularly the U.S, Britain, Australia, China, and Russia to help build a steel plant. All the countries above except Soviet Russia denied Nigeria the ambition to truly become an independent country.
Fast forward to a few days ago, the minister of mines and steel development Olamidelekan and Adegbite said the federal government has engaged a British firm to revive Ajaokuta steel company limited for free. More information is needed as he didn’t give any information as to what would happen.
He said, “In October 2019, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari and Russia’s Vladimir Putin met at the Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi and agreed to revive the uncompleted Ajaokuta steel mill.”
(Sidebar: This part will be added to over 40 years of sabotage of the steel industry by every semi-puppet president installed in the merely geographical expression or what one could call a semi co-operate state or a semi-sovereign state. Buhari’s Sabotage Timeline and Pretext to continue denying the country of the growth it needs. One could easily draw an easy parallel between the west and how it works in reality. They hold your balls with the promise to break them if you do not do as they say. One could easily link this event to how the U.K agreed to resuscitate Buhari’s life after he was poisoned by gas via his AC in Aso rock. The puzzle; what did he promise the Brit in return for resuscitating his life after he was poisoned for going to China to sign a currency swap with the Chinese. The Brits resuscitated Buhari’s life in exchange for the Ajaokuta steel industry and what else?)
Adegbite, however, said: “The project suffered force majeure due to COVID-19”.
The minister, who did not name the British firm, said the arrangements with the Russian firm failed as the contract was awarded to a company with both Russian and Ukrainian interests.
He said the $2b was safe in the federal government account, adding that “The money has not even been given to anybody, the Russians can’t get any payment now with the way things are happening in the world. All their accounts are blocked.
“So, the $2b is still with the federal government. The president has given the money for that purpose. We had started the process of procurement, then with this war, we can no longer go that way.”
He said the “British firm is offering to do it for us free now”, adding that “By the grace of God, we have started an irreversible process. The problem with Ajaokuta is actually what we call force majeure. Nobody thought of the COVID, because the plan was to deliver Ajaokuta this year 2022.
Adegbite said the company might not be fully revived under the current administration as earlier promised. – The Sabotage deal was signed and delivered under the semi puppet President or also a kind of permanent puppet control system to the west.
He further disclosed that the ministry is about to conclude the Bitumen Auction. “We have completed the automation of the Mining Cadastral System to meet international full standards for online mining title and license applications and approvals.”
The Brits would resuscitate the Ajaokuta steel industry free of charge in 2022. – Even a day old child will laugh at that nonsense. This is the current state of Nigeria. A semi puppet state of the west, that could easily break free and become a 100% independent state. The future is being sabotaged once again. It will be in the history book, how the west continues to rule even after independence in 1960. You are not independent, not even close to it. Ruling via holding and breaking of balls, regime change, assassination, sponsoring puppets, proxies, bribery, corruption, covert and overt operations to mention a few.
