S-400 Air Defense Systems deployed to Protect Skies Above Moscow

MOSCOW, January 10 (Ooduarere) — The airspace around Moscow will be ensured by the fourth regimental set of S-400 Triumph (SA-21 Growler) air safeguard frameworks, Russian Defense Ministry’s representative told RIA Novosti Saturday.

“In 2015, one of the air defense missile system regiments in the Moscow region… will adopt into service the modern long-range air defense missile system S-400 Triumph,” Col. Alexei Zolotukhin, a representative for Russia’s Aerospace Defense Forces, said.

This regimental set will be the fourth as three S-400 regiments are conveyed close Moscow in the urban areas of Dmitrov, Zvenigorod and Elektrostal.
