There clearly was pandemonium available town of Potiskum, Yobe State, on Monday as a suicide bomber, thought to be a person in the Islamic fundamentalist group, Boko Haram detonated a bomb on a procession of Shiites Muslim group celebrating the brand new Islamic year.
A resident of the city, Mohammed Ali, who spoke to the correspondent on calling, said the bombing, which claimed 10 lives, happened at the Tsohuwar Kasuwa part of the city at about 10.30am, throwing the location into confusion, while residents fled in numerous directions. Ali said, “All of us had to come back home to find safety because the explosion was followed closely by sporadic gunshots.
“The security operatives responded with sporadic gunshots to exhibit their readiness to stem any attack out and this caused panic with people fleeing back with to homes, leaving the streets empty.”
