A government court has ordered previous Jigawa State Govenor Sule Lamido and his two children, Aminu and Mustapha, accused of corruption, to be remanded in jail care in Kano from now till September 28.
The previous senator was charged today togerther with his youngsters for accepting N1.35 billion kickback from a government contractor. The cash was paid into account controlled by the governor and his children.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, blamed the trio for money laundering, amongst other charges. They were due for arraignment yesterday, eighth of July, 2015, however the court appearance was rescheduled to Thursday, ninth of July, 2015. They are expected to reian behind bars till September 28 as indicated by the court order.
