Ada Esther Johnson, famously referred to back in the 50s as Ada Ocha Ntu pictured with her lover, Mark Hall, whom she killed in 1953 after she figured out he’d used the 400pounds she credited him for business, to go to England and wed an English lady.
As per history, Mark utilized part of Ada’s cash to buy his new lady an auto which she would use to begin a vehicle business in the UK.
He came back to Nigeria and told Ada that he’d finished with her cash and an extremely angry Ada uused a couple of scissor to cut Mark. Mark inevitably passed on from wounds maintained from the assault.
Ada was charged and indicted in 1956 and was put on death line at Broad Street Prison in Lagos. She was however exonerated by previous head of state Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe, who transformed her capital punishment to life detainment in 1961.
