Shocking Video of Deadly Eurofighter Typhoon Crash at Italian Air Show Emerges

New video reveals the minute an Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon plunged into the ocean in an event that will ultimately claim the life span of its pilot, Capt. Gabriele Orlandi.
The accident occurred while Orlandi was attempting to perform a cycle, and it’s not yet determined why Orlandi wasn’t in a position to pull up again after diving toward the ocean to skim it. The pilot didn’t try to eject from the Typhoon aircraft.

(Warning: some audiences might find the next video disturbing.)

On Sunday Sept. 24, 2017, an Italian Air Force Eurofighter F-2000A Typhoon (most probably MM7278/RS-23) belonging to the Reparto Sperimentale Volo (Test Wing) has crashed into the sea at Terracina, 76 kilometres south of Rome. Based on the several videos that have already emerged on social media, the pilot Capt. Gabriele Orlandi, for unknown reasons, was unable to /did not recover the aircraft at the end of a looping and didn’t attempt to eject from the jet. 😢😢😢. #airbus #usairforce #instagramaviation #boeing #avporn #airforce #armedforces #fighter #fighterjet #fighterhelmet #fighteraircraft #fighterpilot #ejectionseat #military #militaryjet #militaryaircraft #us #usa #usn #usnavy #jet #aircraft #aviation #airplane #avgeek #avporn #soldier #gopro #italianairforce #eurofighter #crash

The function occurred Sunday, September 24, at the Terracina Air Show, that was quickly called off after Orlandi’s body was found, Business Insider Australia reported.

The pilot’s girlfriend and parents were in attendance to view the performance, based on The Telegraph UK.

Just 11 days prior to the accident in Italy, a Royal Saudi Air Force Eurofighter crashed in to a mountain within a combat mission against Houthi militants in Yemen’s al-Wade’a district, killing pilot Mahna al-Biz, The Aviationist reported.
