Chimamanda Adichie was in France a couple of days earlier to launch her book, ‘Americanah’, a New York Time’s 10 Best Books of the Year and champ of the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction.
The novel has effectively sold 500,000 duplicates in the US and has been interpreted into 25 separate Languages.
In a meeting with Nicolas Germain of France 24 about the forthcoming race, Chimamanda said “none of the two fundamental candidates move her”.
