5 of the Strangest Cars We have Observed Towing Things

Most cars aren’t supposed to be useful for towing, however many owners aren’t afraid to check the limits.

We discovered an article on Reddit where user richardmartin discussed how his Subaru BRZ was able to tow a 1,200-pound Honda Goldwing for 200 miles. That got us wondering what other car owners on the market have towed or trailered things with an automobile that wasn’t supposed to be useful for towing?

We scoured YouTube and found some interesting videos with some pretty odd cars being useful for towing. Take a look at what we found:

Subaru BRZ Tows 1,200-Pound Honda Goldwing

Starting with the story that piqued our interest, the Subaru BRZ that somehow was able to tow a damaged Honda Goldwing 200 miles. As per a Reddit user richardmartin, the only real car he currently has is just a Subaru BRZ, and when he purchased a “very broken Honda Goldwing” that has been 200 miles away in another state, he made a decision to see what the BRZ could do. The Subaru BRZ isn’t exactly noted for packing a lot of performance beneath the hood, but richardmartin’s BRZ is definately not stock, packing a Jackson Racing supercharger with high-boost pulley, an ACT HD organic clutch and runs on E85. Consequently, he was able to tow the Goldwing just great, saying he would feel comfortable towing more weight if the hitch could handle it. On top of that? He managed 22 mpg with plenty of Chicago traffic thrown in the mix.

Lamborghini Murcielago Tows a Trailer with Goats

It’s hard to believe that any Lamborghini Murcielago owner would desire to connect a truck and tow something, but that’s just what this owner did. But what’s a lot more strange is what’s being towed by the Italian exotic: a truck with goats! The video was uploaded on YouTube by user Joseph Criniti, without any explanation about what is obviously going on. But it will appear the video is from Australia – maybe everything there’s truly upside-down.

Smart ForTwo Tows a Trailer with a… Smart ForTwo

You will find few things funnier when compared to a Smart ForTwo towing something. That’s, unless that Smart ForTwo is towing another Smart ForTwo. Considering how small and underpowered the Smart ForTwo is, it’s rather impressive exactly how easily it’s towing the trailer with another Smart ForTwo on it. Predicated on its wheels, however, we imagine this specific model is just a Brabus ForTwo, but that doesn’t exactly shove a couple of hundred more horsepower and torque beneath the hood.

Toyota Prius Towing a Trailer

The Toyota Prius could be the world’s hottest hybrid, and was made to save lots of the world. There’s quite literally nobody that’s gotten behind the wheel of a Prius and seriously considered how powerful the hybrid is, so imagine our surprise once we saw this video. Not just that  the Toyota Prius towing something, it’s towing a sizable trailer!

Tyre load index or tyre load rating is just a numerical code on a Tyre sidewall that specifies the most load the Tyre can hold when inflated at its maximum permitted cold pressure, under certain service conditions – specified by the manufacturer. The strain index is identified as the main tyre size designation or the tyre’s service description, along with the speed index.E.g., tyre size designation: 205/60R15 91V – 92V in “service description” means this tyre can hold a maximum load ...
