Kidnapped Ex-Minister Of Environment, Laurentia Mallam And Her Hubby, Freed

Former Minister of Environment under Goodluck Jonathan administration, Mrs. Laurentia Laraba Mallam and her husband, Pius Mallam, 73, who were kidnapped by gunmen on Monday night in Kaduna State have been freed, a reliable source near to the family confirmed to SaharaReporters.

The family reportedly paid an undisclosed sum for ransom prior to the kidnappers released the couple. The kidnappers initially demanded a N10million ransom. The couple was kidnapped at gunpoint while travelling over the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
