Apètèbí!!!
Apètèbí is the wife of Òrúnmìlà.
The woman that always stand behind her husband and make sure she’s always after the interest of her husband.
We need to know that not all Ìyánífá are Apètèbí because Ifa describe Apètèbí as the wife of Òrúnmìlà. It doesn’t matter if she’s a practicing Ìyánífá or not, all that matters is that she’s originally the wife of a Babalawo.
Ifá said in Òdi Ogbè that Babalawo must always carry his Apètèbí along in anything and Apètèbí should always be loyal to her Babalawo.
As Ifá further said that, no matter where a true Apètèbí is, she will always remember and go back to her husband Babalawo.
As Ifá buttress in this song:
Èyin aláya kéé Kèè kéé, n’ílé Ifá
Èyin aláya kéé Kèè kéé
E ò le bá wa tò
Apètèbí l’aya àwa.
Meaning
All of you with small small wives in the house of Ifá
You can never align with us
Apètèbí is the name of our own wife.
Àború Àboyè ooo!!!
