On Sunday, March 20, 2016, Nollywood performing artist, Mercy Aigbe Gentry, responded to a This Day Style spread, which overlooked her name as one of Nollywood best dressed. In perplexity, her reaction prompted individuals tending to the current crevice between Yoruba on-screen characters and foreign English speaking motion picture industry. In a late meeting with Punch, the on-screen character tended to the issue.

Mercy Aigbe talked on the segregation in Nollywood, Yoruba performers seen as uneducated people, and Yoruba motion picture genres having better on-screen characters.
