The Fiction film above (OIori – Latest Yoruba Movie 2017) is an example of how a direct attack, fraud, misinformation/information war and scam has went on against the Yoruba civilization (Isese) for over a century. Out of all the 401 Spirits (Divinity) and Deities (Orisa(s)/Gods in human form), the simple truth is non of them demands human blood for sacrifice which is the only element in Yoruba traditional beliefs that require blood for worship. Ogun demands only the blood of a dog but not Human blood the same way other deities demand blood of animal to appease them. Shrines do not demand human blood as being propagated in the film above. This is a direct attack against ATR (African Traditional religion/Isese) and not a good thing to watch in 2017.
Language
What is the intrinsic value of acting a film and mixing it with a foreign language? Mixing English with Yoruba is complete error as this will not help anyone learn English better, neither will it help those who want to learn spoken Yoruba language. It is either you are here or you are there. Mixing English with Yoruba language obviously has deviated, a 360 degree u-turn from the primary objective of every film, to learn something. Yoruba language here !
Storyline
The storyline does not make any sense cause it context is very straight forward, it is pure attack, misinformation, not educative, lack substance, backwardness, pure propaganda, blasphemous and does not add any value to humanity. It’s irreligious, irreverent, impious, ungodly, godless, unholy and irrelevant to the current situation in Nigeria.
Religious War Wongering
The film above is not only bad for viewers but also the reason behind some people who feel offended by this attack to pick up arms and start a religious war. This could lead to a religious (shooting) war.
