Residents of Anglesey in North Wales woke up to see a Python on a high phone line above them. The Burmese python – said to be one of the five biggest snakes on the planet and fit for contracting an adult to death – was seen making its bid for flexibility over the street.

Police say the snake got away from its tank and figured out how to move out of an upstairs window before advancing along the phone wire. The Python was halfway down the drainpipe before it was captured. More photographs bellow.
