The Alaafin of Oyo installs new Òndáàsà (Awo Mérìndínlógún)

Òndáàsà is the head of the priestly advisers to the Oba, an ancient official title of the institution of the palace that is always family inherited.
Òndáàsà title is related to the Òrìsà and to the ancient divination system called Àdáàsà known as the Owó Eyo Érìndínlógún (16 cowries divination system).
These advisers are designated as the sixteen High Priests (Awo Mérìndínlógún) Òndáàsà, Òsìndáàsà, Òtúndáàsà, Èkeèrindáàsà, Èkarúndáàsà, Èkefàdáàsà, Èkeèjedáàsà, Èkejodáàsà, Èkèsandáàsà, Èkèwàdáàsà, Èkokànládáàsà, Èkejìládáàsà, Èketàládáàsà, Èkerìnládáàsà, Èkèédógúndáàsà, Èkerìndínlógúndáàsà, who are responsible for the welfare of the town and the Oba.
