Two young fellows Ebuka Anyasi, 23, and Michael Ikegbunam, 19, have been remanded in jail by a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Onitsha, Anambra State, after they were blamed for assaulting two young men, Ifechukwu Okafor, 14, and Tagbo Chukwuka, 13.
The court presided by Magistrate Nkemdilim Ike, heard that the two suspects purportedly schemed among themselves to confer crime by having sex with the young men, and in addition locking both victims in confinement while the unnatural demonstration went on for seven days.
They supposedly did the act on June 6, 2015 on Okolonji Street, Odoakpu, Onitsha, as per the prosecutor, ASP Clem Nwancho.
Nwancho said that Anyasi and Ikegbunam have a place in the cartel of gay people who were caught with the accused and granted bail by the police however had all jumped bail contending that in the event that they were allowed bail as upheld by the defence counsel, John Chukwuma, there were likely to vanish.
In her presiding, Ike coordinated the cousel for the defense and plaintiffs to a written application for bail and against bail before June 22, while requesting that the suspects be remanded in custody at the Onitsha jail pending the hearing.
