Bomb Explosion In Borno State: 8 People Feared Dead, 15 Injured

About 8 people were killed and 15 wounded, today, when a car laden with an Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), exploded at Muna Garage Junction in Maiduguri, Borno state, killing 8 people including the occupant/driver and some passerby.

Giving an update, the Police Public Relations Officer, Borno State Command, Emmanuel Isuku said: At about 0830 date, there was an IED explosion onboard a Golf 1 motor carrying 5 passengers (4 females and a male driver).

The explosion occurred when the taxi was attempting to join the convoy of other vehicles heading to Gamboru town. The suicide bomber who is reasonably believed to be one of the female casualties, was picked along the road.”
