Dr Marienne Abimbola Silva, the mother of veteran on-screen character Joke Silva has passed on. She passed on calmly yesterday morning July nineteenth. She was 89 years of age.
Dr Silva was the third female doctor in Nigeria yet the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree. She turned into an OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger) in 1979.
