Nigerian asylum seeker beaten to death in Italy

Emmanuel Chidi Nnamdi, reportedly died yesterday after being attacked in the city of Fermo and left in a state of irreversible coma. He was beaten to death with a ripped out road sign pole by an unamed violent football fan, while defending his 24-year-old wife, Chinyere.

Nnamdi had fled Nigeria with his wife for fear Boko Haram terrororists in the North East. A source said: “A few asylum seekers were hosted at the local Catholic mission, and apparently that town and that area is not new to episodes of intolerance and racism.
