Iraqi security army took control over the University of Anbar in the city of Ramadi in central Iraq that was already possessed by ISIL aggressors.
ABUJA [Ooduarere], Balogun Adesina — Iraqi security drives on Sunday recovered the University of Anbar in the city of Ramadi in central Iraq from the Islamic State (ISIL) jihadist memebers, the country’s’ military command said.
Ramadi, the capital of Anbar area, tumbled to the ISIL in May. The radicals utilized the complex of the University as a summon base.
“We announce to you the entry of the counter-terrorism forces into the University of Anbar. They are now engaging in battles to clean it up from the remaining terrorists and dismantling bombs and clearing roads,” the announcement reads.
As indicated by the report, the Iraqi forces will keep on progressing toward the adjacent region of Tamim.
On July 13, the Iraqi government started a military operation to free Ramadi and Fallujah, the biggest urban communities in the Anbar area, from the ISIL. The Islamic State took control of vast territories of Iraq and Syria in 2014.
