us

Doctors Without Borders  nurse, has hired a civil rights lawyer to sue after she was forced into quarantine after returning to the US from looking after Ebola victims in Sierra Leone. The US Govt recently started a required 21-day quarantine order for many health workers who arrived back to the US via airports in New York, New Jersey and Chicago, to greatly help stop the spread of Ebola.

Kaci Hickox, (pictured above) who had been the 1st person to be placed under the 21 day number of isolation, said she was treated such as a’criminal’after risking her life to volunteer in an Ebola-stricken country.  Her lawyer said Kaci’s human rights were abused when she was delivered to hospital in a defensive suit after coming to New Jersey’s Newark Airport.

The mandatory quarantine began after a physician, Craig Spencer who’d returned from treating Ebola patients in Guinea tested positive for the virus after spending five days mixing with people without realizing he’d the disease.
