Rivers state PDP has asked the former governor of their state, Rotimi Amaechi, to not heed the decision of members of the National Assembly to resign or tender an unreserved apology, on the Lagos-Calabar rail project controversy. In a statement signed by the party’s chairman, Felix Obuah, Rivers PDP called on Amaechi to keep in office so they can show the world how badly behaved he is. PDP in its statement said Amaechi had boasted of bringing Buhari into office and he was in government to recoup all the cash he allocated to Buhari’s campaign.
