What is the business of a British citizen in a protest in Nigeria? Look at the arrogant way Andrew Wynne is speaking. Saying that the Days of Rage protest “rattled” Nigeria. Because he knows Nigerians. He has seen us finish. Easily manipulatable people. Can a Nigerian do in England what this Briton did in Nigeria? If you, as a Nigerian go and protest against the British government in the United Kingdom, you will be deported the next day.  

Why are some unpatriotic Nigerians trying to undermine Nigeria because our law enforcement officials are prosecuting those who caused mayhem, harmed the economy, went to military barracks to try to induce soldiers to join their so-called Days of Rage protest and attempted to trigger a leftist revolution in Nigeria by hoisting the Russian flag and openly calling for the military to take over?

Fact-check me: The United Kingdom has arrested and is prosecuting over 200 people who took part in last month’s immigration protests, including politicians and their spouses. 43 of them have been jailed and more will be similarly sentenced.  

These people being charged are not innocent victims. They unnecessarily instigated a protest that reduced Nigeria’s economy by more than ₦200 billion. They destroyed public infrastructure. Innocent Nigerians were killed. Foreign investors have announced delays to their investments for fear of violence. And they cannot deny that they received funding from abroad. Today, Peter Obi released a statement complaining of hardship.

He forgot the hardship he and Omoyele Sowore caused when they encouraged the Days of Rage protest. Has Peter Obi even acknowledged the thirty-day sit-at-home declared by IPOB in his home region? And he is talking of hardship. Will that sit-at-home not cause hardship in the Southeast? If he genuinely cared about hardship, he would have spoken up. But it is just politics to him. Nigeria is our country, and we must be patriotic to her. Not to the government or politicians. Our patriotism is to Nigeria!  #TableShaker
