What is the ethical relationship between a babalawo/iyanifa and the client?

By Prof. Moyo Okediji

Is it proper or ethical for the babalawo or iyanifa to sleep with a client, or with a student learning from them?

What does Ifa say about that sort of relationship–because there is a power imbalance between the babalawo/iyanifa and the client; and also between the babalawo/iyanifa and the student.

For instance, university professors are not allowed to have sexual relationship with their students. If they violate that rule they could lose their jobs.

The babalawo/iyanifa is like a professor. Can they sleep with their clients and students?

And is there a way to punish a babalawo/iyanifa who violates that rule–if there is any such rule?

Does Ifa say anything about this matter?
