Phyno: Why “Igbo Artists” Not Helping Upcoming Ones

Popular Nigerian rapper, singer and producer, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike better called Phyno has revealed he is certainly going all out to help Igbo rappers to get their feet.

Phyno was quizzed in regards to the perception of men and women that Igbo artists don’t help one another, unlike Yoruba stars. He revealed he has plenty of many young artists on his payroll for 4 years now who will be unveiled and probably signed in to the “Penthause” record label after grooming them well.

He explained: People say things they’re unsure of, that’s the planet we found ourselves now, I think a lot of Igbo music stars out there’s also contributing massively in growing talents across Igbo land and beyond, but might not be noticed or spotted because the news headlines didn’t hit social media marketing handles.
