‘I rake in N10,000 on a daily basis’ – Fake policeman

Austine Okwuoke, 32, was yesterday arrested by policemen attached to Iponri Division in Lagos State, for extorting money from commercial bus drivers in Costain area. Clad in a police vest and a black trouser, Okwuoke had been into the shady act for close to six months until he ran out of luck.?

He introduced himself to members of the NURTW, at Costain, as a member of a special team on road patrol recently set up by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police. When searched, N10,000, in N200, N100, N50 and N20 squeezed denominations, was recovered from his pockets.

During interrogation, he said he continued with the lucrative business because of the amount he made on daily basis. When asked how much he makes, he said: “I make an average of N10,000 a day, from commercial bus and truck drivers.”..
