Had I known all my labour on her would be in futility…

Had I known all my labour on her future in vanity, I wouldn’t have spent my money on her. I anticipated a brilliant future with her however my fantasies have been broken by the one I gave true love. I’m an OND holder however into a lucrative business which is doing exceptionally well. I met my young lady online four years back, however that notwithstanding, people can meet anyplace. I was already done with my OND while she was in 200L in the college. She let me know of how her mom kicked the bucket amid the delivery of their lastborn and her father needed to remarry abandoning her to provide food for herself most times. I felt the desire to render the little help I could and I began giving her cash for her upkeep that was like six months after we met.

I can considerably recall paying her educational cost expenses one session. Presently four years down the memery lane, after her graduation and NYSC, and landing a position in an ICT firm with a decent pay, it all of a sudden occurred to her that she can’t wed an OND holder because of the gap in education. I advised her it is the affection between us that matters most however she said she loves me yet we are not compartible educational wise despite everything she need to further her Education. Every one of these years she was “swallowing” my cash, calling me sweet names, she didn’t see the incompatibility. When her future was in chaos I was her savior (am not boasting here) but rather now that she can look forward to a splendid future I’m no more in the picture.
