Lagos shuts down 53 churches, mosques over noise Polution & environmental nuisance

Lagos State Government yesterday close down 53 places of worship, mosques and lodgings over noise pollution and public nuisance in the state. A percentage of the worship areas were closed in light of the fact that they were changed over from private apartments to places of worship contradicting the law and constituting disturbance to neighbors.

Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA General Manager, Engr Rasheed Shabi, while commenting on the terminations said the office got lots of complaints from occupants and neighbors of the worship focuses
