The four-hour examination to decide Prince’s reason for death ended Friday evening, yet authorities say they are holding back on releasing results pending the arrival of toxicology reports. A rep for the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, the office that directed the dissection, told TMZ that they are as yet gathering the performer’s medical records and Prince’s family’s therapeutic history to help in the examination.
“Nothing will be released until everything is complete,” Martha Weaver, the spokeswoman for the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, told The Hollywood Reporter. “Nothing can be reported with a pending status.” She suggested that it will be weeks before the coroner’s report is made available.
