Justin Bieber made a quick exit from one of his most strained interviews in the wake of being asked as to whether he might want to offer them “some assistance with breaking the internet”. Bieber was a visitor on the radio station 40 Principales to promote his new album, Purpose. A video of the nine minutes interview was posted by Vodaphone Yu on Wednesday and viewed more than 245,000 times before being taken down on Thursday.
The artist seemed down and out and progressively exhausted by vfrom his hosts amid the exchange, who needed to know whether he was a sorry about being a superstar, who dresses him, and on the off chance that he drinks in discos in the US now that he is legitimately mature enough to do as such.
He wasn’t amused when asked if he had ran out of people to thank for after winning so many accolades. “I just wanted to be in the moment,” he replied testily. “I don’t wanna have to think about all these different people during this time, I just wanna enjoy it.
“If they need me to thank them on an award show to make them feel validated, you weren’t doing it for the right reasons anyway.”
The tipping point came when his hosts asked if we would like to help them “break the internet” with YouTubers lined up who have “hundreds of millions of followers”. Bieber appeared to be getting up to participate in the challenge, but instead walked off through another door. He failed to return.
He has not directly addressed the incident but apologised to fans on Twitter for “feeling a little sick”.
