Taiwan Elect 1st Female President

Taiwan seems to have its first female President, in a point of interest election that could unsettle relations with Beijing. Eric Chu, the Nationalist Party candidate in Taiwan’s presidential race yielded defeat late Saturday and congratulated rival Tsai Ing-wen to her triumph as the new President, state-run Central News Agency reported.
