3. Academia, as it turns out, is not the bee’s knees.

As the institutions defending an autonomous kind of truth that transcends the changing demands of the public mind, universities have traditionally been regarded as the best and the brightest. However, consider the major issues of our time that academia has generally done little to promote and little to resolve: woke ideology, transgender issues, censorship, welfare corruption, censorship, lockdowns for infectious diseases, the integrity of science, the problem of citizenship, and so forth.

In general, academia has come out as either uninvolved in it all or as solely involved in dubious financial activities. For instance, there was absolutely no protest when Trump began to reduce the funding of prestigious universities. This is a result of academia’s declining prominence in American society. The Academia in Nigeria is almost non-existent.
