8141 Ghost Students Uncovered to Be Benefiting From The Delta Bursary Scheme

 


The verification and biometric activity of understudies of Delta State inception profiting from the State Students Assistance (Bursary) Scheme, has prompted the disclosure of around 8,141 ghost understudies who profited enormously from the plan amid the previous’ Ex-governor of the state, Emmanuel Uduaghan. The verification and biometric activity of understudies of the State origin under the plan was requested by Ifeayin Okowa when he assumed duty as governor of the state.

Briefing columnists after the State Executive Council Meeting at Government House, Asaba on Tuesday, Patrick Ukah, Jude Sinebe and Elijah Ologe, the State Commissioners for Information, Higher Education and the Executive Secretary, Scholarship Board, separately, clarified that the verification activity has cut down the quantity of recipients to 31,859 from more than 40,000.
