A previous Petroleum Minister, Don Etiebet has responded to the outcome of the Akwa Ibom. Governorship Election Petition Tribunal that sat in Abuja. As indicated by him, the decision was a fraud and suppression of the people’s will. Talking with columnists in Uyo on Wednesday, Etiebet said that he and different senior citizens in the state were determined to return majority rules system to Akwa Ibom State.
He said the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State had appealed for total cancelation of the governorship decision. Etiebet demanded that the decision should have been totally canceled, including that the environment was not favorable for the general population to participate.
His words: “We will always stand by the truth in this state. We have to work hard to ensure that this state belongs to all Akwa Ibom people, not to a group of hooligans, cult boys, or thugs.
“We are not going to submit to any intimidation by anybody. Who in this state has not benefitted from me that I should be afraid of?
“We want to return this state to democracy; we want to return this state to a situation where people will come out and cast their votes for the candidates of their choice. Right now, there is no such environment.”
Daily Post.
I agree with with the Don. The tribunal would have nullified the elections rather than cancelling the eletions in 18 LGA’s. The cancellation is as good as nulification so what are we talking about.
Traitors
Where is tam david west
So there are still some Akwa Ibomites who will speak the truth? I salute Don Etiebet.
Go to appeal court if you are not satisfied
I know Etiebet like d back of my palm.he and his ap cheats will fail and fail and fail and continue with failure.nasty scab looking for relevance.
Most of their judgements nowadays are a little bit to the right, a little bit to the left.
You can NOT equal Akpabio’s results just by playing the old game of divide and rule bestowed on you by the North.
